What's your signature?

Here's a great post asking the question Do you sign off emails with a Christian closing?

Personally, I usually just write my name or sometimes just end it without a signature. However, I admit that when receiving an e-mail with a "christian" closing I do feel a little more pressure to respond with one of my own. (I couldn't have them thinking I'm not as spiritual as them!). .

My work e-mail is set up with my "signature": Name, title (best 1st grade teacher ever! LOL), phone number and e-mail.

So, what's your signature?

A change in the list

What list you ask? Well, the things I think my mate should have of course! Am I going to share that list with you today? NOPE! But don't feel rejected. It's nothing personal.

I will share one thing.
* Must love coffee - I figure as much as I love coffee it would be unbiblical for me to be unequally yoked with a non-coffee drinker.

However, a friend of mine was telling about her "new possibility" yesterday. As she went through a list of things about him to give me a picture of how they are equally yoked (so to speak) she said this profound statement:

"He likes the smell of coffee but not the taste. But that's okay. That means there's more for me!"

* Must love the smell of coffee

See that's better! Oh, and for those of you that think I'm still single because I'm too picky. You may be right. But I'm a daughter of the King and should be picky! :)

Yummy Goodness!

I would like to introduce you to Broccolini. YUMM-O! It looks like baby broccoli but isn't. I love broccoli but broccolini has SO much flavor. It can be sauteed or (my personal favorite) roasted in the oven. If you haven't tried it you need to. I like it with olive oil and garlic. It's also really good with lemon pepper.

I Receive

I listened to a message by Craig Groeschel this weekend. It was from the "One Prayer Series". It was entitled "God is Love". It's a great message. He talked about how it's easy to believe,"God is Love" or even "God loves you". But it's hard to believe that "God loves me".

While working on my song list for worship next week I came across this song that just really resonated with me. We sing a lot of songs about how we love God. But we don't sing a lot about His love for us. Maybe that's because we have a hard time believing "God loves me". No I'm not worthy. I'll never be worthy. But " it's not what I've done but what He's done for me."

Oh yeah, someone made a video!

And you thought I was baseball illiterate...

Anyone that knows me well (or at all) knows I'm not a huge sports person. I do have more knowledge than I let on sometimes. It's WAY fun to mess with people during a game and ask about the the touchdown they just made in that baseball game... :)

Anyway, this story makes me feel like a sports genius!

Jamison (my nephew) needed a new bat. My sister took him to a sports shop in the mall. They were arguing about a particular bat. She didn't think it was a good one. He said it was because it was an Easton.....

SO, he decides to ask the girl that worked in the store if it was a good bat. He asks her. She replies, "What position is it for?"! SERIOUSLY? He cuts his eyes to my sister and refrains from any sarcastic comment (which is a miracle). He says, "to hit the ball".

THEN, she asks how old he is. He says 10. She proceeds to hold the bat up beside him to see how tall it is compared to him! (Even I know this is NOT how you choose a bat). She decides that it's a good height for him.

We decide to leave the mall and go to another sports equipment store that has employees that actually know what they are talking about!

BOGO on Graves?!?

I saw this sign when I was walking in the graveyard near my house (yes I walk in the graveyard because it has a great hill that is good for my workout). I had to read it twice to be sure it really was offering buy 1 get 1 free grave! I guess I shouldn't be so disturbed by this, especially in this economy!
